Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an EVS Technician for housekeeping on the 1st shift. The role includes cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, waiting areas, and clinical spaces to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include restocking supplies, handling waste per protocol, and using appropriate cleaning chemicals. The position requires physical effort and weekend rotation. Education: high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and follow verbal and written directions.
• Experience in healthcare setting not required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively cleans and disinfects assigned area using established protocol and procedures.
• Performs all cleaning tasks in an efficient manner.
• Safely utilizes correct chemicals for each task in the performance of assigned duties.
• Restocks assigned areas with paper towels, soap, sanitizers, toilet paper, etc.
• Follows established procedures for the removal of bio-hazardous waste and regular trash.
• Adheres to all universal precautions and isolation procedures.
• Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization.
• Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability and cooperation in job performance.
• Demonstrates a commitment to incorporating patient family centered care concepts into practice.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
