Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Glassware Technician II to support clinical laboratories, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role centers on washing and distributing glassware and assisting with department documentation.

Qualifications

• One-year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department required.
• Experience using sterilizers preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Responsibilities

• Complete code purple checklists.
• Decontaminate work areas.
• Change gas cylinders.
• Prepare month end documentation for review.
• Perform routine maintenance on Tubewriter and other non-technical equipment.
• Provide input regarding training and checklists.
• Organize materials delivered by the warehouse.
• Washes laboratory equipment such as glassware and instrument parts.
• Label tubes for testing and reagent preparation.
• Sterilize glassware and instrument parts using autoclave.
• Order replacement glassware as needed.
• QA/QC duties as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures.
