Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to move palletized freight on a busy dock. You’ll use a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload trailers, scan shipments with handheld devices, and follow safety policies.

The role includes days, evenings, nights, and weekend shifts. Starting pay for experienced forklift operators is $28.10 per hour, with benefits for those scheduled to work 30+ hours weekly. This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Available for varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
