Job summary

Welch Packaging Group in Kentucky seeks a dependable Warehouse Forklift Operator to operate clamp truck and forklift, receive materials, load/unload trucks and rail cars, and help keep the warehouse organized and safe.

You will read production schedules, follow LOTO procedures, perform daily forklift inspections, and collaborate with team members to move, weigh, and document materials in a timely, accurate manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Must be able to pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate clamp truck and forklift equipment.
• Receive rollstock and other raw materials per company procedures.
• Unload and load trucks and rail cars as necessary.
• Operate Bander, Hand Bander, and Conveyor Line as needed.
• Assist Material Handlers, Shipping Personnel, and other forklift drivers; keep warehouse organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
