Job summary

Welch Packaging Group in Columbus, OH seeks a 1st shift forklift/clamp truck operator (6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri) to receive raw materials, unload/load trucks, and keep the warehouse organized. You will operate banders and conveyors as needed and support material handlers and shipping staff to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements include prior forklift experience, the ability to read schedules, and safe operation of equipment. A focus on safety, teamwork, and accurate documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Able to pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate clamp truck and forklift to company standards.
• Receive roll stock and other raw materials by company procedures.
• Unload and load trucks and rail cars as necessary.
• Operate Bander, Hand Bander, and Conveyor Line as needed.
• Assist Material Handlers, Shipping Personnel, and Clamp Drivers; keep warehouse organized.
