Job summary

Welch Packaging Group Inc. seeks a warehouse technician to operate clamp truck and forklift equipment, receive rollstock and other materials, and load/unload trucks and rail cars. You will run the Bander, Hand Bander, and Conveyor Line when needed, while assisting shipping and material handlers and keeping the warehouse organized.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, daily area maintenance, and accurate completion of documentation to support production schedules and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is required.
• Must be able to pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate clamp truck and forklift equipment to company standards.
• Receive rollstock and other raw materials by company procedures.
• Unload and load trucks and rail cars as necessary.
• Operate Bander, Hand Bander, and Conveyor Line as needed.
• Assist Material Handlers, Shipping Personnel, Clamp Drivers and keep warehouse organized.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions immediately to supervision.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure proper documentation as required.
