Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is hiring for a full-time food service position at the El Paso State Supported Living Center. The role includes preparing meals, portioning for special diets, serving food, and maintaining clean, sanitary dining and kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service work (paid or unpaid).
• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 6 months experience in food service work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend work on a regular basis and follow assigned shift schedule.
• Prepare and portion food for special diets per procedures.
• Serve food and maintain sanitation in dining and prep areas.
• Receive deliveries and manage supplies.
• Keep accurate records and complete required paperwork.
• Assist in training new staff and participate in COOP/disaster activities.
