Job summary

Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced Floor Technician to join its Environmental Services team. You will perform daily cleaning, floor and carpet care, and assist in maintaining a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

This role requires at least 1 year of housekeeping experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision. We offer non-rotating day shifts, competitive pay, and a benefits package including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is desired but not required.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to safely use cleaning supplies, tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department to keep the facility clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Daily cleaning of floors and carpets following standard procedures.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Be familiar with detergents, germicides, and other cleaning/chemical supplies.
• Collect, pack, and dispose of trash per established procedures.
