Job summary

John Knox Village is seeking a Full-time Floor Maintenance technician in Lee's Summit, MO. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with travel on campus using a personal vehicle.

A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required. The position involves housekeeping tasks and focused floor care, including buffing, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years floor maintenance experience required.
• 1+ year housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic keyboarding and MS Outlook knowledge required.
• Knowledge of safety precautions in floor maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to perform calculations with measurements.

Responsibilities

• Buff, strip, wax floors and vacuum a variety of surfaces.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets; buff hard floors.
• Operate floor care equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Keep premises clean and orderly.
• Assist residents and staff with work orders.
• Transport cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Respond to emergency clean-ups as needed.
• Maintain records and reports of work performed.
