Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Minimum 2 years of floor maintenance experience; 1 year housekeeping preferred.
• Basic keyboarding and MS Outlook knowledge required.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; mathematical aptitude for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor maintenance including buffing, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, shampooing, mopping and sweeping a variety of floor surfaces.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets; buff hard floors; vacuum or mop hallways and common areas.
• Strip wax floors using heavy machinery (auto scrubber, carpet extractor, side-by-side, upholstery cleaner).
• Keep premises clean and in orderly condition.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and cover when personnel are short.
• Assist residents and staff to complete work orders.
• Transport cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain and care for all equipment; report malfunctions.
• Understand chemicals and pad/rotator brush usage with equipment.
• Maintain a completed-work checklist and report necessary work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleanup requests.
• Maintain records and reports as needed.
• On-call for emergencies as needed.
• Adhere to safety regulations and requirements.
• Work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
