Job summary

John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC systems. Duties include diagnosing electrical, gas, plumbing and mechanical components and maintaining safety standards.

Position is 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, on-site with potential on-call responsibilities for emergencies, weekends, and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 certification is required; universal certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years HVAC, refrigeration or commercial kitchen equipment repair experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must obtain Missouri Class E license within 90 days if driving company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems, equipment and related controls.
• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals and schematics to apply proper service procedures.
• Document work performed and equipment history in the work order system.
• Available on-call for emergencies, weekends and evenings as needed.
