Job summary

John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems. Work is on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, EPA 608 certification, Missouri Class E license within 90 days if driving, and at least 2 years’ HVAC/refrigeration experience. This role requires safety awareness and teamwork. EOE/Drug Free Workplace.

Qualifications

• This position requires the level of education typically acquired by a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Missouri Class E license within 90 days if driving a company vehicle.
• EPA 608 certification is Required; Universal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents and staff to complete work orders.
• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC.
• Diagnose and repair kitchen equipment's electrical, gas, plumbing components.
• Maintain Village HVAC equipment.
• Replace defective controls, thermostats, wiring; build filter frames.
• Fabricate and install ductwork; address IAQ concerns.
• Recover and charge refrigerants per EPA rules.
• Document work and equipment history in the work order system.
• On-call for emergencies; rotate weekends/evenings; snow removal as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and workplace conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
