Job summary

Aerovent Fan Company, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Fiberglass Technician (days) in Tea, SD. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour. You will read blueprints, prepare layup, laminate parts, and ensure quality according to TCf standards.

Responsibilities include selecting tools and materials, grinding parts, performing inspections, and supporting manufacturing with related duties as needed. Must have HS diploma or GED and basic math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 12+ months related experience or training (technical school) or equivalent.
• Experience with composite lay-up, laminating, and finishing work.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions in English.
• Basic math including measurement with a tape.
• Ability to use tools safely; may operate forklifts/cranes/pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and test sheets; organize parts in a logical order.
• Determine appropriate work surface for tasks.
• Grind parts as needed for layup and finishing.
• Select proper tools, materials, and resin for tasks.
• Produce laminations with high quality and no defects.
• Visually inspect work to ensure conformance to standards.
• Tag product; have supervisor inspect.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
