Job summary

Wabtec Corporation's Aero Transportation Products unit in Independence, MO is seeking a production assembler to build fiberglass hatch covers and gates from engineering drawings and specs. You will work with fiberglass, resins, and hard structural materials and report to the Production Supervisor.

Typical hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime possible. The role pays $18.00–$25.00 per hour and offers benefits including health, welfare, and retirement.

Qualifications

• General assembly of products per specifications and drawings.
• Read and apply quality procedures and engineering drawings.
• Stand for approximately 8 hours and lift 35 lbs.
• Work with fiberglass, resins and hard structural materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform general assembly of products in accordance with product specifications/engineering drawings.
• Perform required inspections of product in accordance with Quality Procedures.
• Record applicable inspection/test results.
• Interpret inspection/test results to reflect job function requirements as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties as deemed necessary.
