Job summary

West Georgia Technical College is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled work related to the upkeep of facilities and grounds at the Murphy Campus. You will participate in the repair of equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, and grounds maintenance, while ensuring logs and work orders are properly recorded.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with one year of experience in a skilled trade or building maintenance.
• Good knowledge of building maintenance practices and safety policies.
• Ability to read construction plans and blueprints.
• Experience using a computer for logs and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance of college facilities and grounds.
• Repair and maintain equipment and vehicles; keep logs and electronic work orders.
• Maintain electrical, plumbing, and related systems and hardware.
