Job summary

West Georgia Technical College is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of the college’s facilities and grounds. This full-time role focuses on keeping campus infrastructure in good working order.

The position requires experience in building maintenance, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to read blueprints and use various tools. Travel between campus locations is expected.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED and One (1) year of experience in a skilled trade or building maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in repair and maintenance of college equipment and vehicles.
• Installs, maintains or repairs electrical and plumbing systems.
• Performs grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks.
• Maintains fire alarms, sprinkler and security systems.
• Assists with carpentry and renovation projects.
