Job summary

YKK AP America Inc. is seeking a production technician to complete units to daily orders on the 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. shift, Monday through Friday. Training may occur on a different shift for up to one month.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of manufacturing experience, and proficiency with Excel and Word. Strong communication, organization, and safety awareness are essential for meeting quality standards and orders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED (minimum).
• Must have at least two years of manufacturing experience preferably in a fabrication or production environment.
• Basic computer skills with good working knowledge of Excel and Word software preferred.
• Must have good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Be vigilant about safety.
• Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Follows specific requirements of a particular job order.
• Fabricates according to daily production requirements.
• Communicates and work with entry level employees in various phases.
• Follows specific directions from department supervisor and see that these directions are carried out.
• Make sure area is kept organized and 5S procedures and policies are followed.
• Audit completed product to assure it meets order requirements and YKK quality standards.
• Communicate non-conforming product issue to Manager / Supervisor.
• Set up machines and equipment.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.
