Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Solder Technician to conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic components in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. You will perform precise soldering and de-soldering on SMD and through-hole parts, interpret schematics, and enter repair data while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role follows a first-shift schedule (roughly 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and requires a 2-year electronics background or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2-year electronics degree or equivalent certification/experience.
• Ability to pass a Technical Aptitude Test.
• Experience soldering surface mount and through-hole components.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose faults accurately.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret schematic diagrams to diagnose faults.
• Perform soldering and de-soldering on SMD and thru-hole components to a high standard.
• Enter data for completed units and repair activities in computer systems.
