Job summary

Cedar Community is seeking a skilled Electrician to maintain electrical and building systems across our campus, ensuring safety and reliability for residents and staff.

This full-time, day-shift position includes rotating weekends and holidays, on-call responsibilities, and opportunities for career growth, wage increases, and tuition reimbursement within a mission-driven, values-based team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Mechanical, electrical, trade school education, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building maintenance, HVAC, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose building systems and equipment.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license required.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and applicable federal, state, and local regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Electrical Systems – Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, motors, switches, distribution equipment, and other building infrastructure.
• Keep Facilities Running – Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, control systems, commercial kitchen equipment, and other mechanical systems throughout Cedar Community.
• Troubleshoot & Repair – Diagnose equipment and building system issues, complete work orders, maintain service records, and order replacement parts to ensure reliable facility operations.
• Support Facility Improvements – Assist with remodeling projects, equipment installations, renovations, and research for new building systems and facility upgrades.
