Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Goodyear, AZ manufacturing team. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Shift is Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM with some Saturdays as needed; responsibilities include preventive maintenance, and wiring/installation tasks while adhering to quality and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Must troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Lift up to 80 lbs and work at excessive heights.
• Wear non-slip shoes and appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, PLCs)
• Repair various facility equipment (lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC)
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment
• Prepare, coordinate and implement preventive maintenance
• Complete installation and repair work from schematics/drawings
• Capable of minor electrical installations
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for this position
