Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical production equipment to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements include 2+ years of experience or education in electrical/mechanical fields, ability to read schematics, lift up to 40 lbs and work at heights, and strong PLC troubleshooting capabilities in a food-manufacturing

Qualifications

Requires knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications with 2+ years of experience or education.
Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. and working at heights.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for PLC controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain production productivity and product quality through the maintenance department.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment including motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, PLCs.
Repair facility equipment such as pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and installations from schematics and drawings.
Possibly perform minor electrical installations and ensure food safety practices.
