Job summary

Sentara BelleHarbour in Suffolk, VA seeks an Emergency Department Technician for full-time day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. The ED Tech supports care teams, helps implement care plans for emergency and minor emergency patients, and performs procedures under supervision.

Candidates must have HS diploma or equivalent; EMT-B or equivalent certification; BLS within 90 days; and clinical healthcare exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents (Required).
• One year healthcare experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians or nurses in implementing care plans for emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
