Job summary

Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for the Day shift. This role supports the ED with lab draws, EKGs, and patient care under supervision, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements include EMT-B certification, or completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, or enrollment in a clinical program (RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) with at least one semester completed. 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire.
• Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School; MMAC candidates eligible.
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program (RN/LPN/Respiratory/PT) with at least one semester completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab draws and EKGs.
• Assist nurses and doctors with patient care.
• Support ED operations in inpatient and outpatient settings.
