Job summary

Sentara Belleharbour in Suffolk, VA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a full-time day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). The role supports physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses by assisting in planning and delivering emergency and minor care.

The ideal candidate will have EMT-B certification or MMAC, or be enrolled in a clinical program, with BLS within 90 days of hire. Prior healthcare experience is preferred and HS Diploma is required.

Qualifications

• ED Technician role requires EMT-B certification, MMAC, or current clinical program enrollment.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician, advanced practitioner, or nurse in implementing plans of care.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• Candidates with prior ED tech experience considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.
