Job summary

Good Shepherd Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Phelps, KY is seeking a reliable Driver to transport residents, staff, and materials to appointments, activities, and community events. You will play a key role in ensuring timely, comfortable, and safe transportation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and strong communication skills. Prior long-term care experience is preferred. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, community outings, and facility-related activities.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and schedules.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair securement.
• Comply with all state and federal transportation regulations and facility policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by facility management.
