Job summary

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is seeking a Domestic Violence Advocate to provide crisis intervention, shelter support, and administrative help in a 24/7 shelter. You will respond to the crisis hotline, assist with intakes, and help ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

Responsibilities include group sessions, case management coordination, referrals, and maintaining shelter operations, cleanliness, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer the 24-hour crisis hotline with crisis intervention and referrals.
• Complete agency intakes and coordinate shelter intakes with staff.
• Maintain shelter safety, cleanliness, and security protocols.
• Facilitate group sessions and client check-ins.
• Assist with case management and referrals to community resources.
• Operate an agency vehicle for transporting clients when needed.
