Job summary

Lirio Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in living independently and thriving within the community. The role focuses on compassionate caregiving, facilitating routines, and supporting daily living activities.

Wherever possible, DSPs help clients achieve personal goals, participate in community activities, and ensure safety and well-being through person-centered planning and consistent, respectful support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Background checks required.
• Valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Excellent work and personal references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with life skills and community outings.

Our Direct Support Professionals provide assistance to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities to live an independent life with assistance from caring professionals.

DSP Responsibilities

• Companionship
• Community engagement and socialization
• Life Skills
• Community Outings
• Personal hygiene
• Routine housekeeping tasks
• Administration of medications
• Money management
• Nutrition, grocery shopping, and cooking
• Attending medical appointments
• Proper use of appliances and adaptive/assistive devices
• Home safety, first aid, and emergency procedures

Our DSPs are an integral part of the individuals’ lives through the implementation of a person-centered individualized plan that enables those we serve to participate in thriving and vibrant communities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass background checks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, a working vehicle, personal vehicle insurance, and acceptable driving record.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours (as required) to meet individual needs (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Excellent work and personal references required.
• No experience required.

Additional expectations include the ability to complete all required written documentation and supporting reports of services provided; Manage a variable work schedule with good attendance and punctuality; Complete ongoing in-service and other educational training.

Premium Rates

• Weekend Premium: Staff will receive a $1.00 increase to their hourly rate of pay.
• Midnight Premium: Staff will receive a $1.50 increase to their hourly rate of pay.
