Olympic Steel in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Crane Operator to safely transfer materials within the warehouse. The role requires knowledge of cranes, lifting devices, and daily inspections to ensure safe conditions.

Responsibilities include operating banding equipment, packaging materials, and tow-motor operation, with a pay range of $24.32–$25.43 per hour and a first shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the related field.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• Basic math skills are required; general knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices and some computer programs are preferred.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work 1st shift, 7:00am–3:00pm, Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and related lifting devices to transfer materials safely and efficiently.
• Inspect work area and equipment daily for safe working conditions.
• Operate banding equipment, packaging material, and tow-motor as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks.
