Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Crane Operator in Minneapolis, MN to safely transfer materials in the warehouse. You will inspect equipment daily, operate cranes and banding/tow-motor tools, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks.

The role requires 1 year of related experience and forklift familiarity; candidates should be mechanically inclined, production-focused, and comfortable with basic math and computer programs. First shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the related field.
• Previous forklift experience is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• Basic math skills are required, general knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices and some computer programs preferred.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:00pm, M-F.

Job Description

The Crane Operator is responsible for safe efficient transfer of materials in the warehouse. Candidate must possess knowledge and skills of the capabilities, limitations and mechanical state of cranes, lifting devices and attachments. The person in this position is required to inspect the work area and machines and equipment daily for safe working conditions. Must be safety and quality conscious. Other duties: operating banding equipment, packaging material and tow-motor operation.

Pay Range: $24.32 - $25.43 per hour
