Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Crane Operator in Minneapolis, MN to safely transfer materials in the warehouse. You will inspect equipment daily, operate cranes and banding/tow-motor tools, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks.

The role requires 1 year of related experience and forklift familiarity; candidates should be mechanically inclined, production-focused, and comfortable with basic math and computer programs. First shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the related field.
• Previous forklift experience is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• Basic math skills are required, general knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices and some computer programs preferred.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work 1st shift, 7:00am - 3:00pm, M-F.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes for safe, efficient transfer of materials in the warehouse.
• Inspect work area and machines daily for safe conditions and report issues.
• Operate banding equipment, packaging materials, and tow-motor as needed.
