Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician in Sunbury, Ohio. Pay is DOE and shift is primarily daytime (6:30AM–3:00PM), with schedules potentially varying to meet business needs. Responsibilities include maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical equipment throughout the facility.

Use CMMS to record activity and support building operations. Required: commercial HVAC installation/maintenance experience.

Qualifications

Commercial HVAC installation and maintenance experience required.
Experience with plumbing, gas line installation/repair, and building maintenance preferred.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
CMMS system knowledge preferred.
Intermediate blueprint reading skills.
Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, circulation fans, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment throughout the facility.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
Respond to facility service requests and support building operations.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Assist with commercial HVAC installations, plumbing repairs, gas line installations, and facility improvement projects.
Support building automation controls and environmental systems.
Maintain a safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
