Job summary

Pentagon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Coating Operator to resurface and texturize customer supplied parts using a spray nozzle as specified by work order instructions.

This role operates on the Day Shift (6-2:30pm) with highly competitive pay and advancement opportunities. Responsibilities include surface preparation, blasting parts to specifications, and following procedures to ensure timely processing.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient at operating a blasting nozzle.
• Know proper blasting pressures as they relate to specifications.
• Ability to handle delicate parts large or small without damaging.
• Knowledge of how to read and understand prints.
• Has basic math and measurement skills.
• Understands warping of parts along with acceptable roughness measurements and how to take such measurements.
• Has an appreciation for timeliness, quality, and punctuality.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by selecting appropriate media and settings based on material type and desired finish.
• Blast parts with some deposition and surfacing parts to specific specifications.
• Understand and follow operating procedures as assigned to the team to assure consistent, reliable, and timely processing of parts within this team.
• Work closely with the other departments regarding reworking and communication for incoming/outgoing parts.
• Interact with other blasters regarding jobs that require more than one person to complete.
