Job summary

Reliance, Inc. in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Laser Operator to join the Plant family. You will be responsible for daily setup, operation, and on-time production of defect-free tubing laser-cut parts on CNC machines.

You will also assist other operators with housekeeping, maintenance, and material staging, while adhering to ISO quality standards. This role requires following instructions, reading drawings, and maintaining safety and attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Ability to inspect laser-cut parts with precision inspection equipment.
• Ability to work well as a team member.
• Safety conscious behavior.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to complete the laser operator training and pass the laser safety exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures on CNC tubelaser-cutting machines.
• Stage raw materials at each work-center for the day’s production.
• Load and unload machines.
• Maintain daily dust collector service in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies.
• Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the scheduling department.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.
• Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with ISO quality standards.
• Check and package parts in accordance with ISO standards if required.
• Monitor assist gas level supply requirements for daily production.
