Job summary

Beloit Health System seeks a compassionate Operating Room Transporter/CNA to join the Surgical Services team at Beloit Memorial Hospital. The role supports nurses and clinical staff, transporting patients, verifying identities, and maintaining safety and privacy in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include Wisconsin CNA certification and BLS/CPR within 3 months. The position offers 40 hours per week on the 1st shift with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Wisconsin.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from surgical suites.
• Verify patient identity and ensure all required documentation is complete prior to transport.
• Assist with patient transfers while maintaining safety, dignity, and privacy.
• Communicate patient concerns, unusual symptoms, or changes in condition to nursing staff immediately.
• Support PACU staff with patient transport and other assigned duties.
• Provide direction, encouragement, and support to patients and family members.
• Restock supplies and obtain equipment from designated hospital locations.
• Assist with operating room cleaning, turnover, and preparation between surgical cases.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and assigned work areas.
• Assist in orienting new team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
