Job summary

Beloit Health System in Beloit, WI is seeking a compassionate Operating Room Transporter/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the Surgical Services team at Beloit Memorial Hospital. This full-time role carries a 40-hour week, first shift, with benefits eligible.

You will transport patients, verify identities, assist with transfers, and communicate concerns to nursing staff while maintaining dignity and privacy in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Wisconsin.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from surgical suites.
• Verify patient identity and complete documentation prior to transport.
• Assist with patient transfers while maintaining safety, dignity, and privacy.
• Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Support PACU staff with patient transport and other assigned duties.
• Provide direction and support to patients and family members.
• Restock supplies and obtain equipment from designated locations.
• Assist with operating room cleaning, turnover, and prep between cases.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
• Assist in orienting new team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
