Job summary

Beloit Memorial Hospital in Beloit, WI is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Ambulatory Surgery Department. The role involves direct patient care in an outpatient setting, supporting physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient transport, assisting with examinations, point-of-care testing, EMR documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification.
• Demonstrates ability to do simple math functions.
• CPR certification within three months of hire.
• Ambulatory care CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining and documenting vital signs, height, weight, and other pertinent information.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Support providers and nursing staff during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection as permitted by training and organizational policy.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Assist with patient education and reinforce instructions provided by licensed healthcare professionals.
• Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms and clinical areas.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, concerns, or unusual observations to nursing staff.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
• Participate in quality improvement and team initiatives as assigned.
