Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for day shifts in the Women’s Health unit on the 3rd floor. Under RN supervision, you will support direct patient care, document observations, and ensure a clean, safe patient environment.

Strong communication and cultural sensitivity are essential to serve diverse patients. Requirements include completing an accredited CNA/PCT program and holding a Texas CNA license; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited CNA or PCT program; valid Texas CNA license.
• Must be fluent in English with good written and verbal communication.
• One year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care and maintain a safe environment on the unit.
• Record observations, document care, and report changes promptly.
• Assist with admissions, orient families, and provide hospitality to patients.
• Monitor vital signs and comfort, and support nursing staff during shifts.
• Safely transfer and transport patients and supplies per care plan.
• Comply with policies, OSHA guidelines, and unit routines; participate in team communication.
