Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in process of obtaining
• Prior long-term care experience preferred
• Maintains infection control policies and PPE use
• Active CNA license required at time of hire (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, meals, and repositioning of residents.
• Document resident interactions and vital signs; report changes to the RN.
• Participate in infection prevention and PPE usage per policy.
