Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist for the DAY SHIFT in our Laboratory. You will perform complex tests across chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and blood bank to deliver accurate results that support patient care.

Required is an accredited MLS degree and Florida licensure; ASCP/AMT certification is preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork are essential to integrate with physicians, nurses, and the lab team.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in MLS or related field.
• Florida Medical Technologist License required.
• ASCP/AMT or equivalent certification preferred.
• Previous hospital laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze patient specimens and perform tests across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures daily.
• Communicate critical results promptly to clinicians as required.
• Ensure proper documentation in LIS and assist with inventory control.
