Job summary

The Fountains of Cartersville is seeking Certified Medication Technicians for medication administration-related roles in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. This full-time position is for 1st shift (7a-3p) with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Applicants must have a Medication Technician certification, be at least 18 years old, and hold a State Approved Medication Aide course along with a Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• State Approved Medication Aide course completed
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and work in an interdisciplinary care setting
• Ability to work in a senior care environment and promote teamwork

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Promotes and protects residents' rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and education programs and obtains continuing education required by state regulations.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner.
• All changes in a resident’s condition are reported to the supervisor promptly.
