Job summary

Barren County Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a caring CMA to provide medication administration and treatment assistance to residents. You will supervise residents who self-administer meds and document changes in condition, while maintaining thorough records of distribution and activities.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year CMA experience; evenings, weekends, and holidays availability is required. Equal opportunity employer and supportive team are offered.

CMA Responsibilities:

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to health care provider's orders

• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines

• Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors

• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents and observations

CMA Required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• One year of CMA experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Previous experience working directly with older adults preferred

• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

• Must enjoy working with the senior population
