Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a Central Sterile Technician to perform decontamination, preparation and sterilization of trays and instruments. You will handle inventory, restock supplies and enter data for patient charges.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication and knowledge of department locations within the facility. Required qualifications show diploma and experience; BLS certification preferred, Central Supply certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate, preferred
• At least two (2) years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required
• Central Supply Certified certification required within two years from date of hire

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare and sterilize Central Sterile trays and instruments.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies; perform computer data entry and batch patient charges.
