Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Central Sterile Technician for full-time day shifts (7:00am - 3:30pm). Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required for new hires.
• At least two years experience as a Central Sterile Technician required; in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare and sterilize central sterile trays, instruments and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies; enter data and batch patient charge cards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department locations and accessibility to all hospital departments.
• Communicate accurately and clearly with team and other departments.
