Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of three years of related clinical experience.
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies with annual validations.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional improvement and practices to support the budgetary plan.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and leadership abilities.
• Requires strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison with physicians, allied health personnel, and vendors to identify equipment needs and ensure availability for procedures.
• Oversees quality, risk management, safety, and nursing standards; models clinical excellence.
• Delivers direct patient care and coordinates/ supervises activities of the health care team.
• Ensures efficient use of department resources and participates in quality improvement.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify operational and capital inventory needs and budgeting requirements.
• Precepts, mentors, and orients staff to promote staff development.
• Communicates with scheduling to clarify procedures and inventory descriptions.
• Interacts with staff across departments and external contacts to coordinate care and information flow.
• May collaborate on determining par levels for automatic reordering.
