Job summary

University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking a Custodian II to maintain clean, orderly campus facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, emptying trash, dusting, and supporting emergency responses as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to read and write, and may require a valid driver’s license. One year of custodial/maintenance experience is preferred. Shift is 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday, at Swinney & PAC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write.
• One year of general maintenance and/or custodial experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions.
• Physical ability to perform duties (bend, lift 25–50 lbs.).

Responsibilities

• Perform care and cleaning of buildings (offices, classrooms, restrooms).
• Clean floors, empty trash, dust furniture, clean windows.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and events by arranging chairs/tables.
• Provide support for emergency responses and large moves/events.
• Report damages and assist with minor repairs as needed.
