Job summary

Active Day is seeking a Direct Support Professional / Driver to join our team and support adults with developmental disabilities in day program centers and on the road. The role combines center-based care with driving duties, emphasizing safety, compassion and community inclusion.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities, personal and medical care, meals, transportation, and documentation, while promoting a positive, uplifting environment for members and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate shifts.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist members.
• Comfort with using basic technology and documenting as needed.
• Background check clearance and regulatory requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise member activities and ensure quality delivery of services.
• Assist members with daily living activities, transportation and meals.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to members.
• Assist with planning and documenting individual support plans.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized program areas.
• Communicate professionally with members, families and staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the team.
