Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in Albany is hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Day Services Team. We support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through engaging activities onsite and in the community, including bowling, cooking, crafts, and outings.

We offer paid on-the-job training, no overnights, and both part-time and full-time opportunities with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 pounds.
• NYS Driver's License in good standing may be required at some sites.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage independence in all aspects of daily life.
• Collaborate with your team to plan, create and assist with activities and opportunities to meet the needs and interests of the people you support.
• Provide any necessary direct personal care to the people we support.

Education
