Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in New York is hiring Day Program Counselors to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily activities and community settings. No overnight shifts; on-site roles with both part-time and full-time opportunities.

You’ll plan engaging activities, assist with personal care, and collaborate with a caring team to foster independence and meaningful community participation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NYS Driver's License in good standing (some sites require this).
• Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage independence in all aspects of daily life.
• Collaborate with your team to plan, create and assist with activities and opportunities to meet the needs and interests of the people you support.
• Provide any necessary direct personal care to the people we support.
