Job summary

The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh is seeking an Associate Director of Education to lead day-to-day operations of The Day School, oversee educational programming, and ensure high-quality services for students with complex needs. You will report to the Executive Director of Education and collaborate with families and districts.

Responsibilities include operational leadership, program implementation, staff supervision, and alignment with regulatory standards, with a focus on student

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Pennsylvania Principal Certification or equivalent leadership certification preferred.
• Pennsylvania Special Education Certification preferred.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain Pennsylvania educational leadership certification.
• Clearances required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day operational leadership for The Day School, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Partners with the Executive Director of Education to implement strategic priorities and organizational initiatives.
• Ensures the implementation and continuous improvement of educational programming aligned with regulations and organizational goals.
• Supervises, supports, and develops school staff as assigned in support of the Executive Director of Education.

Education

Master’s Degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or related field

Pennsylvania Principal Certification

Supervisor of Special Education Certification
