Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a Day Program Supervisor for the Queensborough Community College site. The role oversees an Adult Day Program, coordinates individualized services, and ensures high-quality support in line with NYS regulations.

The candidate will supervise Direct Support Professionals, participate in staff development, and promote independence and community inclusion for individuals served while maintaining strong collaboration with families and partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience or Associate Degree with 3 years; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Experience working with the IDD population required.
• Experience in a Day Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate, and develop Direct Support Professionals with ongoing feedback.
• Assist in hiring and training DSPs and ensure staffing coverage.
• Develop individualized habilitation plans in collaboration with the team.
• Foster relationships with family, community partners, and professionals.
• Serve as liaison between Service Coordination and Day Habilitation services.
• Monitor safety, health, and emergency procedures for participants.
• Ensure program compliance with NY State HCBS regulations and agency policies.
